The Wine:
Domaine Mee Godard is a small Domaine of six hectares of vineyards, mostly located in Morgon. The uncompromising attitude established by Mee, coupled with very old vines produces innovative, profound and complex wines with infinite character.

Yields are kept low in the vineyard to increase concentration and capture each of the varied soil types across this climat. A high proportion of whole-bunches (50%) are used in the ferment, as well as a long maceration to boost structure and density. Fermentation occurs in concrete and once finished, the wine is transferred to oak for about 10 months, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.

The Review:
James Suckling - 96pts
"This excellent wine from the Cote du Py has the fundamental minerality and the vibrancy we expect from this great site. Packed with wild berry fruit, but also notes of licorice and wild herbs. Impressive concentration on the medium-bodied palate, and the very long, compact finish is very energetic. Drinkable now, but best from 2025."
